Renovations

Our generous volunteer restorers will soon finish the St. Joseph statue on our front lawn. All the old paint has been removed; when completed, a stain will protect the statue from a crumbly appearance from now on.

Our chapel has undergone some work as well.

Thanks to a generous benefactor, the rug was removed, along with the asbestos tiles underneath. The ceiling and walls have been painted.

A new wood floor has been installed.

Our Star Runner

Br. John-Mary did run in the Boston Marathon this year and placed very well. Will he do it again? He’s not talking.

Our Simply Professed Students

Although the simply professed students going to BC and St. John’s Seminary work hard there, they have Monastery duties as well. But there is truth in the old saying: all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Getting away from the pressures of study and daily routine is important. Here is some proof: their trips to:

And finally, our students have departed for the summer; they are in Spain in Úbeda for a study-pilgrimage to the early Monasteries of our Order.

Although the Pandemic virus has degraded in recent days, we will continue to remember all of your personal intentions. If you wish your intentions to be remembered, please email them. They will be placed against the tabernacle. There is plenty of room on the altar for your intentions.

The Solemnity of Our Lady of Mount Carmel

Carmelites have had a devotion to the icon of our Lady of Mount Carmel for over eight centuries. This icon was there on Mt. Carmel and traveled with the hermits back to Europe and became the focus of many miracles; copies were made from it for every convent and monastery in the Order since 1500.

We will hold our annual triduum to Our Lady of Mount Carmel in our chapel at 7:30 AM from July 14th to 16th (Thursday to Saturday). You are most welcome to attend.

What and where does our devotion to our Lady of Mount Carmel get us?

It gets us covered with Her mantle of Motherly care, concern, and protection, along with Her guidance to and fulfillment in Her Son! 

It gets us wrapped in Her scapular of Sisterly preparation for perseverance in and proclamation of all that is good, right, and just for conformity with Her Son's Love for us!

May our Lady of Mount Carmel bless you all in abundance!
