Summer Pilgrimage to Spain

Summer is over and our students are back from their study pilgrimage to Spain; they traveled through Andalusia and Castile from June 14th through August 3rd.

What follows are a few pictures of their journey.

At Alba de Tormes, where St Teresa died. They found time for study, classes, and prayer. They returned after their home visits.

Back to New England

Just as their studies at St. John’s Seminary began, they escaped for a final breath of fresh air in Crawford Notch, NH.

The next day moved south to Holderness, NH. They climbed Mt. Morgan and Mt. Percival; they reached the top by squeezing through a cave near the top to enjoy…

a lovely, though misty view of Squam Lake and Winnipesaukee.

They had been warned about bears; so when they found one (made of wood), Br. John-Magdalene could not resist enacting a bear attack for our amusement.

New Students

We have new students going to Seminary; Br. Jonathan-Maria (on the left) is from Denmark, EU. He was here with Br. Joseph-Teresa a couple of years ago as Postulants. Br. Vladimir (on the far right) is from the Oklahoma Province and is studying with our men here.

Thank you for your help in supporting these young Carmelites. Please pray for our young men.

Renovations

The statue of St. Joseph, which stands on our front lawn was just finished; it took a year to complete by our generous volunteer restorers. And a sculptor mended some broken parts.

We are very grateful to Leona Green and Catherine Soondeuk Byun Min, (from the left) for their steadfast labors for the two statues they have rescued from damage and restored to their original beauty.

Please join us if you wish to attend Mass here again at 7:30 AM Monday through Saturday and 8 AM on Sundays.

Although the Pandemic virus has degraded in recent days, we will continue to remember all of your personal intentions. We now record your intentions in a book at the door of the chapel so that the friars can remember them in their prayers.

In November we remember the souls of our departed loved ones. We now offer online ordering for requesting a Mass, Mass Cards, and Perpetual Mass Unions.

That Our Gracious God continues to shower you all with an abundance of graces, that we remain a people of gratitude and thanksgiving for the gifts of goodness, justice, beauty, work, rest, our homes, and each other!

ADVENT

We praise You Our God for Your Son Jesus, the Christ; Who is Emmanuel, the Hope, Wisdom, Guide, and Savior of all people. May we be caught up in His coming and thus, extend His Light to every place in this world.

CHRISTMAS

Heavenly Father, You sent our Son to be born of the Blessed Virgin Mary. May Jesus bring to our lives joy, peace, mercy, and love. And, in doing so, we can, in our witness, birth Jesus again and again into our relationships.
